Today’s hero is an anonymous 22 year old man with a Mohawk haircut. He had the guts to speak his mind to the Mayor of Philadelphia. It seems that Mayor John Street had joined the mass of kooks that were waiting in line for days on end for an opportunity to purchase an iPhone. It seems this didn’t sit well with the 22 year hero, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, so he spoke his mind and asked the Mayor “How can you sit here with 200 murders in the city already?” Street, apparently dumbfounded, could only say: “I’m doing my job,” the newspaper said.
The Mayor left the line a short while later, apparently because he was embarrassed about the fact that the city actually did in fact have more than 200 murders already this year.
It doesn’t take much to make a difference. Our society has grown so apathetic that we forget it is our obligation to speak out when we see crap like this. Congratulations unknown Mohawk dude – you’re a good citizen!
Fox News has the story here.
